I suppose I have had food on the brain this week, but I have been wanting to share with you some of our go-to recipes. All of these had humble beginnings as a random pin once upon a time, but have become staples in our house.

This sundried tomato and mushroom pasta in garlic and basil sauce is to die for. It is pretty straight forward and just stands above every other pasta recipe. This is one I look forward to when it makes it to the weekly lineup.

You know how everything you throw in the crockpot has a way of tasting the same? It’s that weird, can’t-put-your-finger-on-it, not outstanding, “crockpot” taste. These cool ranch crockpot chicken tacos are a welcome change. While they are a slow cooker recipe, you’d have no idea. On top of being delicious, they are the epitome of easy (and require very few ingredients). Overall win.

This sweet potato and black bean chili gets cooked probably every two weeks in our home. It’s affordable and healthy and tastes so hearty for a vegetarian recipe! When I’ve cooked this for guests, they never guess it’s meatless.

Do any of my Indian food-loving friends find that when they cook Indian food it tastes so… American? Me too. Not so with this divine rajma masala (kidney bean masala). Here is another vegetarian option that is tasty and filling.

And now for my absolute favorite. It’s kind of stunner that one of my favorite recipes could be with beef, but these tacos de barbacoa are just that good. This requires a good roast and several hours of monitoring with the occasional basting, but it is worth worth worth it. Oh man. Adobo sauce included, this is some of the best meat I’ve ever tasted.
So what are your go-to’s? What recipes keep you coming back?
